Vocational Education is studied by some learners at Education My Life Matters(EMLM). The programme not only offers an alternative to traditional academic subjects but also allows pupils to learn key skills directly related to specific trades or crafts. By developing skills that are specific to a trade or job role pupils can improve their employment prospects and get ahead in their chosen career. Learners are linked to various industries or businesses so that they can develop their skills and have the opportunity to gain short courses, level 1 and level 2 qualifications in their chosen subjects.
They can also have specific work-related learning and develop their vocational skills in areas such as motor mechanics, hairdressing, repair and maintain bicycles, carpentry etc
